The new mystery/thriller movie Before I Fall came out on March 3rd. Before it became a motion picture it was a popular teen book. The book was wrote by Lauren Oliver, but the movie’s screenwriters are Maria Maggenti and Genia Prince-Bythewood. The story tells the audience of a teenage girl who keeps reliving the same day. No matter what she does, she can’t break the cycle. At least until she can figure out why this is happening, and what she needs to do to stop it.

Even though the plot was kind of predictable, it kept my attention the whole time, and the ending left me wanting more. I was very pleased with how the main character developed, but I was disappointed with how flat the side characters stayed. Overall the movie was entertaining, and I would recommend seeing it. Julia Day agrees and said, “Before I Fall was pretty intense, and I liked it a lot. I recommend it to anyone who likes movies with drama. It had a lot of action and made you think about your everyday life and how you take things for granted. It makes you appreciate your family and spending time with them as well.”
