The character trait to demonstrate for the month of April was fairness.  Two students who stood out for this trait were Laken Thornsbury and Grayson Hale.

Laken Thornsbury, a junior who showed fairness around our school, said, “Finding out that I won student of the month made me feel very appreciative that I was chosen.  It’s nice to get noticed and praised for hard work like this.  Showing respect and kindness is how I think I earned this title.  I’m proud of myself and how I treat others equally, which is what I learned at a young age.  We have a great student body and to be a part of it showing our great qualities makes me feel proud to be here at Graham.  Other traits I think I show around the school is honesty and kindness.”

Grayson Hale, a freshman who won student of the month, said, “It feels nice to know that people realize that you’re showing these traits at school.  I always try to help people when I can and treat others the way I would want to be treated.  I was surprised when I first was told that I won student of the month but then I realized I deserved it.  If I were to win again for student of the month it would be for passion.”

Laken and Grayson are just a few people around our school that show their positive attitudes.  This is a great way for their recognition to be presented.
